Welcome to Ballycarrickmaddy Primary School, where it is our aim to develop ‘Learning for Life’.

Across our school community we have created a happy and stimulating environment where every child is valued and encouraged to achieve their best. We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing regularly updated information for both parents and pupils.

🎶🌳 Music in the Forest! 🌳🎶
P6 took their music lesson outdoors today! 🍂 They enjoyed tapping out different rhythms, listening carefully to one another and working together in small groups to compose their very own rhythms. 🥁🎵

P2 had lots of fun exploring the forest with the parachute and autumn leaves. We talked about how the leaves change colour and fall from the trees during autumn. P2 enjoyed playing with the leaves and taking part in the parachute activity, developing their curiosity and understanding of the changes happening in nature.

Congratulations to Abbie in Primary 6, who proudly represented Ulster at the Interprovincial Finals in Mullingar this weekend.

Abbie (and Red) secured an impressive double clear round in a highly competitive optimum-time event.

What a wonderful achievement that reflects Abbie’s hard work, skill and partnership with Red. We are so proud to see one of our pupils competing at such a high level and representing Ulster with distinction.

We had lots of fun developing our fine motor skills and counting skills as we used scissors to cut up playdough! 👐🔢
